Authorised users should be able to change their filter in multi lines fields, in order to insert images or PHP code.

Real D7 fields (i.e., what was CCK in D6 and is now Field API in D7) support this. The issue was opened for profile.module, which even in D7, does not use fields, so the feature request is still unfulfilled. Too late for this kind of work in D7. I'm confident we'll see at least one D7 contrib module replacement for profile.module that uses real fields. Would normally bump this to D8, but I'm also confident that if profile.module survives into D8, that it will use real fields, so this will be fulfilled at that time.
