Hi all,
I have just tried the PhpGedView module. I have been using PhpGedView for some time and thought I would have a go at integrating it with Drupal. I have a test system setup with the latest Drupal and PhpGedView. I have followed the installation instructions for the module (I am a little hazy on what exactly step 3 of PHPGEDVIEW SETUP refers to).
The module is installed and I can see the Family Tree page. However, when I log into Drupal, it dosnt also log me into PhpGedView. I also can no longer log directly into PhpGedView.
With the exception of Step 3, which I would be grateful if someone could explain, is there anything else that I should be doing?
Cheers,
Nick

brian@griffiths-online.co.uk commentedsame problem here
I have mapped the two drupal users (admin & a test user) to their equivalent PGV users OK; but the promised interaction does not seem to work. Also setting up a new drupal user does not follow through to PGV.

karens commentedI think this is the same as or related to http://drupal.org/node/89406. See my recent comments there.

AgnesCB commentedI got it working by logging out and back in again after everything was configured correctly (including had mapping the Drupal admin it to the phpGedView admin user in admin > settings). Before that the embedded phpGedView showed me (admin) as not logged in. Afterwards I was logged in to both Drupal and the embedded phpGedView.

karens commentedI committed a change that should make sure the current user gets logged in properly once they have finished mapping users.
@nickbits, the reference to login blocks is suggesting you get rid of login blocks in PGV -- those optional blocks you can put on the welcome page. If you followed all the instructions, if anyone does try to login on PGV they should get redirected and logged in on Drupal, too, so it won't hurt anything if you don't do that, it was just a suggestion to reduce confusion so there are multiple different places to login.
