Hi.

When having more than one item in the shopping cart, and clicking on the remove check box, and then clicking update cart.. you get the Maximum Purchase message you'd get as if you were trying to checkout.

This makes it so the customer actually has to enter 0 in the item quantity box to remove items from their shopping cart.

Thank you for your report, flockthis. Will see if I can set aside some time to investigate soon - Rik

I second this bug. On the cart page, if I check the "remove" checkbox, the update action doesn't work — the item is not removed from the cart and the error message is displayed again.

If I change the quantity to '0' for a given product, and update then my cart is updated and I am able to proceed.

I am currently limiting my max to 1 and minimum to 1.

This issue has not been resolved. I'm still having the same problem.

I have 2 items in my cart.

I try to checkout.. but I get the error message saying I have too many items.

I click remove, and I get the same error message.

I still need to manually enter in 0, and click update for the item to be deleted.

Darn! I spent quite a bit of time testing... wonder what it can be this time...
Are you using the latest and greatest versions of both Ubercart module and Min/Max Order Quantity?
When this happens, do you have individual items or product kits in the trolley?

fiockthis’s picture

Yep, I'm using Ubercart 6.x-2.4 and Ubercart Min/Max Order Quantity 6.x-1.1

I'm using individual items, and most of them have multiple attributes.

I've just tried this again, but cannot reproduce your problem on my system.

o I have set minimum order quantity = maximum order quantity = 1.
o I add one item of product 1 and another item of product 2 (these are individual items, not product kits).
o When viewing the cart, I get a red error, as expected, when I press Checkout: "You have too many items in your cart. You may purchase only one."
o When I now tick the "Remove" box in front of one of the product names and press either "Continue shopping", "Update cart" or "Checkout" the selected item is removed and action continues in accordance with the button pressed.

My catalog does not have items with multiple attributes. That's the only thing I can think of that's different from yours. Since you have both types on your system, could you please try both cases and see if it makes a difference?

Hi Rik,

I seem to be getting the same problem, this is somewhat critical. I am attaching an image so you can see the problem. I am using the following modules in connection with Ubercart 6.x-2.6:

  • uc_gift_order
  • uc_gift_certificate
  • uc_googleanalytics
  • ubercart_marketplace
  • uc_views

I am using the latest version available for each module. I get the error even if I have all the modules above enabled or disabled.

I am currently only allowing customers to purchase one item per checkout, so the minimum and maximum are 1.

If the minimum and maximum are 1, then isn't the message correct: "The minimum purchase is 1 item" ?

PS: I like the styling in your screenshot!
