Hello,
I wanted my header to have solid black color, but primary menu images have no transparent rounded corners. And therefore it looks quite ugly.
The images that should be modified are: images/tab-left.png and images/tab-right.png. I have attached the modified ones to this issue. They are not perfect but should do the trick. ;)
Thanks!

jayperkor commentedDoing some more testing, these images also suffer the same issue not having the apropriate transparency:
block-title-rounded-top.png
green-bullet.png
green-bullet-rtl.png
raquo.png
raquo-rtl.png
rounded-block-inner.png
rounded-block.png
Are they OK that way or am I missing something? :-?

jeremycaldwell commentedThese images were created with IE6 in mind as it doesn't handle transparent PNG images that well, even with PNG scripts. So we went with 8bit PNG images with solid background colors instead so it works with the design and color scheme by default. If you are making changes to the colors and that sort of thing you may want to download the layered PSD (http://groups.drupal.org/node/41048) and work from that for the time being.
We are slowly phasing out support for a lot of IE6 issues so we may update the images in the future to support 24bit transparency but at the moment this is what we have.

jeremycaldwell commented@Geir19, seems they are using the transparent background images for the primary menu tabs.
Here is a link to the images they are using:
Left: http://notepad-plus-plus.org/sites/all/themes/acquia_marina/images/tab-l...
Right: http://notepad-plus-plus.org/sites/all/themes/acquia_marina/images/tab-r...
They aren't using the 3.0 version of Acquia Marina but those images should give you some insight into how it was done.

Compel commentedI'm one of those who doesn't have Photoshop and can't figure out how to use a PSD anyway. I am looking for a way to make the rounded corners for the search box to display transparent areas as well. The goal is to have a background image similar to the Notepad++ website above -- but also to have the search box.
It would be great if someone with the skills could upload "fixed" images or links to the search box graphic as well. It is rounded-corners-search.png.

W.M. commentedHere is a zip file that contains two transparent png's (see attachment). I took the original files and processed them using GIMP 2. You can do the same with the other files. You need to clean the areas where transparency is needed and then export the image as transparent png. Sorry I have done this only to tab-left and tab-right files (i.e. the ones in the primary menu).

Compel commented@Gier19... thanks. I got Gimp 2 and it works with the individual files (left and right). Appreciate the tip.

jeremycaldwell commentedThe rounded corners for the primary menu items have been updated and have transparent backgrounds. These changes are in the latest release of the theme.
