Currently settings for the Diggthis module can only be changed by roles with the 'administer site configuration' permission. This sort of permission provides too much control for clients however it would be helpful to let them set their own Diggthis settings.

Sounds reasonable to not have to grant the 'administer site configuration' permission to someone who should be able to control the Diggthis settings.
