In my experience, I cannot disable the author name and date posted information when set under theme > global settings. ANyone else experiencing this?

Thanks for letting me know. I've identified the probable cause. Unfortunately I am having difficulties submitting updates so once I get that straightened out I'll have a new release and can close this issue.

I'm experiencing this too...
I was wondering about it and decided to check here.

theresaanna could we get a patch or what to change so we could manually do it until you're able to straighten out the difficulties of submitting updates?

For now I commented it out (line 6 in node.tpl.php) and I'm thinking of implementing some fields at the bottom so people can put their information when they need to.
