path_alias_release 1.0.0-beta1

Path Alias Release 1.0.0-beta1 frees a public path when the live revision goes offline, so a redirect can use that address.

• Delete the alias when the live revision is unpublished, archived, or trashed, and generate it again when the page is live.
• Skip Pathauto while every translation is offline, so the alias is not written back on the same save.
• Leave the alias released when an enabled redirect already owns that path.
• Show one warning after a save that removes aliases. Each address is a bullet. With Redirect installed, each bullet links to the add-redirect form with the path and language filled in.
• Log each removed, restored, and redirect-blocked alias on the path_alias_release channel.
• Ignore drafts, other non-default revisions, and saves made inside an active workspace.

Pathauto, Redirect, Trash, Content Moderation, and Workspaces are optional. Requires Drupal 11.2 or later.
