editing_presence 1.0.0-alpha2

Second alpha of Editing Presence: each editor now gets their own color, plus security hardening.

New

• A color per editor. Avatars, field outlines and badges, and the "alice is editing Title" list use one of 8 colors picked from the user ID. Each person keeps the same color on every page and for every viewer. All colors meet WCAG AA contrast.

Security hardening

• The heartbeat and leave routes now also require an authenticated user in their route definition (_user_is_logged_in), on top of the existing CSRF token and entity update access checks.

Bug fixes

• The endpoints no longer return a 500 error when the settings list an entity type whose module has been uninstalled.
• Field presence now works for base fields with machine names longer than 32 characters.

Upgrading

Run database updates (drush updb): editing_presence_update_11002 widens the field_name column.
