Release notes

This release introduces official compatibility with Drupal 12, modernizes module hooks to use the new object-oriented hook system, and resolves deprecated Core APIs while maintaining full backwards compatibility with Drupal 10.3+ and Drupal 11.

Changes in this release:

  • Drupal 12 Compatibility: Updated core_version_requirement and composer.json to support ^10.3 || ^11 || ^12.
  • OOP Hook System: Migrated module hooks to modern OOP classes in Drupal\views_http_client\Hook using PHP attributes (#[Hook]) while maintaining backwards compatibility for Drupal 10 via #[LegacyHook] and autowired services.
  • API Deprecations: Replaced deprecated system_time_zones() with TimeZoneFormHelper::getOptionsListByRegion() in HttpJsonField.
  • Views Handler Modernization: Integrated DeprecationHelper::backwardsCompatibleCall() for forward compatibility with the new Views area plugin manager.
  • Test Suite: Modernized PHPUnit unit tests with #[Group] attributes and removed obsolete reflection accessibility calls.
