Problem/Motivation

Thank you so much Jakob for keeping Rabbit Hole going. 66,421 sites report using it.

We would love to ship it in Drupal CMS recipes. Recipes install with minimum-stability: stable, and 2.x is beta only, so the install stops.

Steps to reproduce

On a project with the default minimum-stability: stable:

composer require drupal/rabbit_hole:~2

Result:

Root composer.json requires drupal/rabbit_hole ~2, found drupal/rabbit_hole[dev-2.x, dev-2.0.x, 2.0.0-alpha1, ..., 2.x-dev (alias of dev-2.x)] but it does not match your minimum-stability.

Proposed resolution

A stable 2.0.0 tag. The 1.x line has a stable release, so 2.x is the only branch a Drupal 10 or 11 site can use and it cannot be required on a stable project.

rabbit_hole 2.0.0-beta2 is over 6 months old. There are no substantive commits to the 2.0.x branch past that tag. Is there anything blocking a release candidate followed by a full release?
