Problem/Motivation

Development happens on a clean Drupal with a purpose-built model, not on a copy of a live site — a live dump pulls the work towards reproducing one site's decisions, which is exactly what this project is refusing to do. It also cannot be committed, cannot be rebuilt by someone else, and cannot run in CI.

Proposed resolution

  • A recipe under recipes/ that installs the same model the kernel fixture describes, plus content: filled and empty fields, one and many values, translations for two languages.
  • Enough variety to be a real test — four or five content types, two or three vocabularies including a hierarchical one, paragraphs nested two or three deep, a menu with sublevels.
  • Reproducible from nothing: recipe applied to a fresh install gives the same site every time.
  • This is the site the demonstrations run on, and the site the three live ones are compared against.

Everything.
