Problem/Motivation

Due to external reasons we cannot upgrade to Monolog 3 and have to stick to v2 which has stopped producing logs since upgrading Drupal to 10.3.x. The cause and solution has already been identified for 3.x in #3445588 this simply aims to backport the same compatibility to 2.x.
