Audio player not displaying transcript/captions

Problem/Motivation

I would like to be able to use the able player to essentially build something like this example https://ableplayer.github.io/ableplayer/demos/audio4.html where there's a transcript viewer as the audio plays alongside.

Steps to reproduce

1. Install the able player module
2. Create a media type for audio and select Ableplayer for the format of the Audio File under "Manage display"
3. Select format of caption to be caption under "Manage display"
4. Add a media (an audio file and a caption) and insert it as a content

I see that the caption file is there when I do inspect element but the captions (a WebVTT file) are not played while the audio is playing. Any help would be appreciated as this is something that we're hoping to have implemented/set up soon. (Some screenshots are attached for reference)
