Make taxonomy term link to slideshow

If you view an image that's been used in a slideshow the taxonomy module places a link to the term for the slideshow along with the other terms the image is in. This generally isn't very useful (and can in fact be a little confusing to the user if the slideshow is called " slideshow", making them think that by following that link they'll view a slideshow). May I propose (perhaps optionally) automatically redirecting that link to the slideshow page itself?
