This is the final beta blocker for 8.x-2.x. I've done some initial testing of what happens when someone attempts to migrate the 7.x-2.x version to D8. There are issues caused by the fact that there's different 7-to-8 migration in the module: the one for the 7.x-1.x version. That seems to be the major issue that will have to be worked through for this to happen.
