Attached patch adds an admin specified role for users initial log in using IMAP. This is against the Drupal 5 branch, but this branch is currently broken with Drupal 6 commits, so this needs to be fixed separately if you are going to use this.

I'm am going to implement this feature into the 2.x version. However, I would like to get a stable release before adding new features.
