I've tested the patch and works perfectly so I'm going to update the status to "Reviewed & tested by the community" and set the priority to "Major" as I think this is something that should go into the stable release.

I'll wait a few days, then if there's no reply I'll merge the patch (hopefully I'll have permissions to do it)

Merged done and created new release: 7.x-1.1. I need permissions to change the module description to add the changes. I'll contact the maintainer of the module.
