Problem/Motivation

For some reason, the autocomplete in the section reference (in outlines), fails to search/find matching sections:

Proposed resolution

1) Find out what's going on.
2) Fix it.

Or: Just replace with a search-and-reference dialog, which should be included in release 1.2 anyway. (But the bug should still be investigated.)

This is most likely an issue for Field Collection or Field Collection Table:
#1880858: Add Another Item produces JS error and completely breaks tabledragging
#1299074: Error When Clicking - Add Another Item - An AJAX HTTP request terminated abnormally.

Both issues are still unresolved. :-(

Did a temporary fix, unsetting the option "Hide blank items" for the field.

The UI looks worse, but it works (which is a positive thing).
