Fixed block space?

I've downloaded the 5.x-1.4 edition of the theme, which is ideal for a small no-nonsense site like the one I wish to build. But I seem to be stuck with the empty space to the left, when leaving the area block-free. Have a look at www.pckonsulent.dk, which is the site i'm playing around with.

I was hopin to achieve a similar no-nonse page as the codlug site, with two blocks in the right side, none in the left. While killing the block border and background color isn't an issue, getting the content to use the empty space to the left just wont succeed.

Also attached a jpg, just in case. I'm trying out a few other themes as well.
