After setting gordon_warm as default theme, php gives the following warning message:

Warning: file_get_contents(sites/all/themes/gordon/subthemes/gordon_warm/js/scripts.js) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in drupal_build_js_cache() (line 4758 of /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/sandbox/includes/common.inc).

Following line in gordon_warm.info is superfluous IMO:
scripts[] = js/scripts.js
