Glogster is a social network that allows users to create free interactive posters, or glogs. The Media: Glogster module integrates with the Drupal 7 Media module to make it easy to embed glogs into your Drupal content, just by copying and pasting the embed code.

The module is currently in "alpha," but don't let that stop you from trying it out; the main reason I haven't promoted to a full 1.0 release yet is that I'd like the final module to support a couple of things it can't quite do yet:

  • Thumbnails. Glogster does create thumbnail images of each glog, but I haven't quite figured out the URL format yet.
  • More intuitive size choices. All glogs have the same basic proportions, so it isn't exactly useful to allow the user to select both the height and width when configuring media styles.

Once I've got those issues figured out, as well as heard back from a few other early adopters about the usefulness of the module, I'll be happy to move out of alpha. As it is now, it does the job it needs to do, so please give it a try if you've got some glogs you'd like to embed!
