Terry Allan has forty years experience as a lecturer in further and higher education delivering courses in a wide range of subject areas including Computing Science, Operational Research and in the educational applications of information and communications technologies (ICT).

Prior to becoming Head of the Computer Education Department in Northern College in 1994 he was a Senior Lecturer and Depute Head of the Computer Education Department for six years. As Head of Computer Education he had responsibility for both academic ICT and all service ICT functions across both campuses (Aberdeen and Dundee).

As Head of Computer Education in the School of Education within the University of Aberdeen he had a continued interest in all academic and service ICT issues.

He retired August 31st 2010 but still retains an interest in his academic disciplines.
