My philosophy as an IT systems engineer and as a programmer is to provide people (not users) with digital and physical tools that facilitate more efficient, less tedious work. I also believe it's the job of IT to ensure that people fully understand and see the benefit in these tools. IT clients, systems and frontends should be as seamless and natural as possible, and their complexity should be virtually invisible to those who use it. The less time that people spend struggling against unintuitive systems and worrying about IT, the more time they can spend innovating and succeeding at what they do best.
