My professional interests are the nexus of art, technology and dissemination. I was closely involved in the launch of the first magazine to use personal computers for production, Elle Decor, in the late 80's. Followed with the conversion of the balance of peer magazines for Hachette Filipacchi magazines in the 90's. After moving to North Carolina, as Prepress manager in the late 90's I oversaw the conversion of film-based plate production to a purely digital system. At that same time, I jumped on the nascent web revolution, creating sites, and for my RIT thesis I built a Cold-Fusion based web application whereby users could submit their workflow best practices into a centralized repository. My wife and I then formed our own business, Skrinak Creative, where she is the graphic designer and I perform the balance of the process to create web sites for our clients to their specifications.
