I am a musician and composer. I play tenor and soprano saxophones.

Participating in the Open Source community and designing and building websites is a relatively recent interest - engaged mostly as a part-time volunteer - which has come about as a result of being asked to build websites by several musicians, small businesses and not-for-profit organisations.

A long, long time ago in a previous life, I was a programmer, working mostly in IBM /370 Assembler Language; PL/S; and C++. I designed and implemented part of IBM’s CICS Transaction Processing middleware, still running 40 years later. I have also developed audio applications on Mac OS X and IOS - so not much in common with the kind of programming required for Drupal where discovery of the API keeps on tripping me up.
