As co-founder and CEO of Avanti Interactive, Emilio Castellanos uses his more than 20 years business, content, and digital media experience to implement social media, online and mobile marketing solutions that create new revenue streams and extend brands, products, and services across the new and changing market ecosystem. Castellanos honed his digital and media skills while working at ImpreMedia, the No. 1 online and print Hispanic news and information company in the U.S., where he spearheaded the mobile and emerging technologies department and implemented numerous successful mobile initiatives across 11 media properties throughout the US, including La Opinion in Los Angeles and El Diario/La Prensa in New York. With a proven track record of striking key alliances with leading digital and mobile companies, Castellanos delivered best-in-class technological platforms and initiatives that provided key content, elevated branding and created new marketing and advertising channels. While under his direction, La Opinion’s website won the Arroba de Oro (Golden Ampersand) in 2006 for best online newspaper in the United States. Castellanos gained experience in marketing, B2B, B2C, international sales, administration, finance and technology while working for international brands including Coca-Cola, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, and Cuahutemoc Moctezuma one of the largest Breweries in Mexico. Castellanos studied Computer Information Systems at the University of California, Berkeley, received his Bachelor of Arts in International Business and Marketing, and studied a Master of Business Administration from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM).
