Dana Solano is a User Experience (UX) Lead at Booz Allen Hamilton, currently working with the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) on both internal and external web projects. Her interest in UX started when she was a scholarship-earning student at Maryland Institute and College of Art (MICA) exhibiting interactive projects. For the last eight years, Dana has brought her love for data-driven and user-centered design to commercial, non-profit, and federal projects. Dana has also worked with agile development teams for the last six years, and has become not only an advocate of lean and agile UX practices, but also a Certified Scrum Product Owner. She loves to share her interests and findings with others and has taught dozens of classes throughout her career on a variety of topics including agile and usability best practices, user-centered design methods, design software, and art history.
