Hi I'm Barry, born in 1977, married, father of Sophie (2010) and Guus (2013). After having worked in the digital space with technologies of Microsoft, Sitecore, Adobe and Episerver I made the step to open source in 2019. I'm here to stay, in December 2020 I became co-owner of SWIS, a full-service digital agency in Leiden, the Netherlands. After 3 years of enterpeneurship I decided to stop with it and move to another agency. Hoppinger in Rotterdam where I am currently Commercial Director.

Main reason to make the step from the license-driven dark side to the open and trusted open-source community is the fact that I think the world is better of when we share more. There’s plenty of everything for everyone if we can learn to share. In the technology space sharing is the main driver with which we deliver maximum value to our clients.
