Deprecated - Social software and communities

I'm going to be building a multi-blog site where entries can be viewed aggregated or by blogger (user). It's going to be for a particular city/county (K city/400K county) and I am struggling with a question. Should I force people to use their real names to write their blogs with (assume I can enforce this for this discussion), or should I allow people to just use usernames/handles?

i am running 4.7 and 5x with their respective version of Audio, E-Commerce suite and other modules in the aim of making a social network shop where users can upload music files and them appear for sale/ download. [I am running both version just to compare module availability and speed.]
I am having a bit of trouble configuring the store ..
My aim is for the members to upload audio and it be a 'file download product' - this is fine so far, but for the price to be fixed

I'm having trouble finding a combination of modules or a module that will put content (posts) to the front page if it gets good user votes
(above a certain threshold) Does anyone know how to do this as it is very important to me and I can't seem to do it.

OK, I was wondering if anyone knows of a module out there that could be customized to implement a points system in drupal. points could be added if someones blog etc. reached the front page and then these points could be used to access other peoples content (like tutorials)
Is there a module that could be edited? Or some easyish way to do it, because I have'nt seen how you can easily implement php and I havent even began to try modules.
