thxs so far for the help from the drupal community, you are very helpfull!
I installed the organic group in my drupal site. Now if you enter your group, you have the possibility to create an event, a forum or a blog. However I only want that the group members and administrator of the group is able to create events and discussion in the forum. However all users should be able to manage a blog outside of the group. I haven't managed to realize this configuration, so it would be great if somebody would help me. I'm using drupal 5.x
I'm planning to (slowly) build a website to keep a directory of local businesses and then be able to organize some relationships between them, plus offer them some utilities based on that website. In fact it'll be mainly about leisure & community services business in the neighbourhood. So, to start I'd need to add all theaters, cinemas, museums, concert halls, shops,... into Drupal in such a flexible way that I can make use of that info in different manners and on different sections of the website. Some of the functions this directory should support:
a searchable and easily editable business directory with ALL the info about the business (private, for me to be able to contact them)
a categorized directory, showing only some categories (e.g only venues grouped by 'theater', 'museum',...) and only some fields (public)
the ability to let the business owners to edit their profiles
the ability to mass-contact them, ideally by categories
I hope that this post is allowed in this forum, please accept my apologies if it isnt.
I initiated a new website called www.do-a-deed.com. It is based on the original idea in the movie "Pay It Forward": it is described as an obligation to do three good deeds for others in repayment of a good deed that one receives, and that such good deeds should be things that the person cannot accomplish on their own.
Hello guys.Im new on the site and with a question I need answered.
I have jus designed some tabs for my web page.Something like Drupal has on top(Support, Handbooks, etc). So, i need something that work similar to that.I do not want to open another page everytime I click on the tab.I jus need the middle or the far right of the page to change and the left to stay the same.Im thinking frames would do that. But don knw how to go about doing that.Im more an aspx developer and not an asp.
A message for all potential Civicrm users: new release (1.8 Beta) has an auto install for Drupal (see http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence//x/wzg). For someone who has struggled to get Civic installed on a local Drupal install (XAMPP) this is a major blessing and simplifies the install markedly. The only issue for XAMPP users is that by default MySql doesn't have InnoDB enmabled which is a dependency for Civic.
