Deprecated - Media and document management

Drupalers,

I have been working on a way to transform Drupal into a terribly simple website management system. I use Drupal for all my clients, most of which are small businesses with 10-15 pages. It works very well for many things, such as content editing, user management, and document uploads.

But where Drupal really lacks in usability is a simple way to manage menus, blocks, forms, and media within the content. (images, flash, links to uploaded files) It seems easy enough for many of us, with Drupal experience, but for a first-time computer-illiterate user, Drupal is quite overwhelming.

I am currently hosting a drupal based blog (and ezine) at SiteGround, and am trying to drive traffic to my site. I have been advised to register with Blogger.com, however, it seems that it is not possible to do this, am I correct? I am completely lost, I notice that Blogger will allow you to host a blog on another site, but there must be a hard-wired html file to which you can link, as well as some file on an ftp server.

Am I correct in guessing that this cannot be done?

How can I modify the PHP code for "Show block only to a particular user", so that it will show the block only to 8 particular users? How will this line look if I do that: ($user->uid == 1) what is the convention to list the 8 different uid numbers. I'm guessing it might be something like: ($user->uid == 1; 5; 17; 18; 20; 22; 24; 25) Will something like this work? How do I write that?

I'm new to drupal and a bit rusty with php so pardon me if I sound a bit ignorant.

I'm trying to run the video embedding feature so users can insert Revver/youtube video addresses and drupal will insert the address into the appropriate script then display it in the page. I have the Embedded Media Field and Embedded Video modules activated. I set up the field to accept revver and youtube clips but I cannot for the life of me get the clips to show up when I preview or publish.
