Template Design

I have been working with some of the basic Theme templates, but realize there is a lot more to developing a website with an actual structure. Are there any sites that have actual samples of the actual modules or the php codes in the page.tpl.php? Structure has been something I have been trying to figure out, and with drupal I know a lot is possible.

nachspielzeit.org

We just (pre-)launched nachspielzeit.org (German for injury time), a nice little site where you can post (YouTubed) videos replaying the games (in 2 minutes) of the upcoming football/soccer championship.

http://www.nachspielzeit.org/

The theme's an adaption of bluemarine, modules in action are i18n, actions, workflow, views, notevode, and my all time fav tagadelic.

And, of course, anybody who want's to contribute, is welcome.

Charity Vote Website

Hi,

Drupal has helped me to make a few dollars from my website hobby. This money is in addition to my main income, so I've decided to donate a portion of it to charity. To help me decide which charities I should donate the cash to, I installed a basic drupal build on a subdomain, and have added

- a poll to allow users to vote which charity I should support next.
- a forum, to let users suggest charities for future votes, and to discuss charity related issues.

The URL of the site is:

southlafishing.com

Thanks to the Drupal Community I put toagether http://southlafishing.com.

I really value your opinions, how can the site be made better? What should be therw that isn't? and What's there that shouldn't?

Remember thouugh, I'm a complete newbie comaped to you guys. As much as I know about PHP it would be as useful if it were an acrunym for "Picture Hanging Purposes".

More Drupal spotting

http://www.unity08.com/

Stumbled on it via instapundit, who unfortunately wasn't a fan of the theme:

while I like the idea, I found the execution somewhat unappealing. I'm not sure why, exactly, and it may just be that the website itself has a prepackaged, off-the-shelf feel to it.

Others might call that "professional looking"

Happy Faces® add color to the web...

The new website of the German face painters offers more colors, more information and a user-friendly interface. The 'Happy Faces®-Team' provides professional face painting for children's parties and corporate events.

The site was created with Drupal 4.7 out of the box, some additional modules and a bit "magic". Due to a special javascript the site supports alpha-transparency (png) also for the internet explorer (shadows of the content boxes).

A special gimmick is the transparent magnifying glass in the search box which expands when hovering with the mouse over it (unfortunately only in firefox).

Take a look at www.happy-faces.de
