ProgressiveBastion.com is a Drupal 4.7 powered site - Helping Activists & Citizens find issues that resonate with themselves...

We're a home office e-Bay Merchant, (not active lately because of us building our/this back-end) who strive to use Open Source software & Sustainable business practices as a practical & direct way to distance ourselves from Companies who don't have long term sustainable & just Corporate practices as "Priority One!" So we're striving to use this site as our back-end for our e-Bay activities. Cause it's not all about the money. We're a small team of 2, so the site is still in flux; but being worked on everyday. So visit us, leave a comment if you wish, align yourself with people like ourselves.

We believe at J&M-Online & ProgressiveBastion.com that our Mission is an important one:

Our business is dedicated to helping people change the world through civic participation.

Companies that maximize profits for shareholders often harm others, the environment & short term profit taking often damages, or impedes sustainable long-term returns.

Trends in our new century are reinforcing today's shift toward better (long term) Corporate Citizenship.

The Information age is going to allow we as people to be able to change the paradigm of this darkening age of unsustainable practices into an "Age of Sustainability & Justice for Humans & not just Corporations."

J&M-Online’s goal is to provide a diverse issue related commentary, Action Alerts & provide information to causes that resonate with you, your community, & this beleaguered World. Join, partner, & ally yourself with J&M-Online & ProgressiveBastion.com and other like minded Progressive Individuals & Organizations...

More About Us: We have one of the largest RSS/XML feeds of Progressive Issues from names & organizations we all know & love. We're also provide free Jabber accounts & e-mail, or coming soon our Tor Services & Progressive Torrent Hosting at J&M-Online.net. We use Democracy TV or also known as BroadcastMachine at our site which is hosting about 70 presentations at the time of this post.

We hope you'll visit!

SEO-Expert-Blog.com a blog about search engine optimization

I recently launched the new Drupal site [redacted], a blog with information on search engine optimization and related Web technologies. Registered users or users with a Drupal ID can maintain their own Blog, add content, comments, and forum entries. I checked out other CMS such as TYPO3, Joomla, ezPublish and opted for Drupal, because of the ease of use, the categorization capabilities, the extensive documentation, the available modules, and other reasons.

Drupal - Asterisk Integration Works

As far as I can tell, our site www.forestlake.ca is currently the only working example of asterisk drupal integration. I would love to be disabused of this notion, so if there are other working sites out there, please let us know.

At any rate you can read about the "Forest Lake Telephone Company" at this posting on drupal .org: http://drupal.org/node/59187 or you can just register and try it out on the forest lake site. Go to : http://forestlake.ca/forestlake/?q=node/466 for instructions on trying it out.

The good news in all this is that I have an asterisk server all ready and working with Drupal. If you want to install and test the asterisk integration module developed by Malthus, you can do so by downloading and installing the asterisk module (http://drupal.org/project/asterisk) on your site. (Important, as far as I know, the asterisk integration module only works so far on 4.6. I do not know what plans Malthus might have to upgrade).

Once you have installed and activated the module you can register your site on our asterisk server by going to http://www.vcg.net and following the instructions on the front page. Assuming a successful install and registration, the asterisk server will then poll your site every minute to initiate calls that your users have entered.

Some caveats: This is for testing purposes only. Currently I am successfully completing PSTN calls using voipjet.com. (I have not actually tested sip or iax only calls. I would be most happy if someone were to try those). This means there are some minor costs. I dont mind covering the odd test call within North America,( rates of 1.2 cents a minute )but if you are going to have two hour calls with your aunt in Afghanistan, or start putting more than the occasional call through, we will have to discuss some cost recovery.
