We've had this surf site up since about Christmas and are working at improving it all the time.
The site is centred on providing surf forecasts in the UK, but we chose Drupal to promote a strong community feel. We want our users to be able to get involved and contribute.
We're pretty happy with how it is, but then we would be - we're the designers! Some constructive feedback is great. Be as honest as you like - we're big boys and can take it!
I want constructive feedback here, even on detail level as I want this website to become perfect! The banner on the top of the site will ofcourse be changed to something a bit less psychedelic.
The goal of the site is to pay people a good chunk of the adincome % to submit original content, but it will take some time to get there. Especially since I feel that the website is not ready for "release" yet.
It's still in it's infancy as a live site, but I've decided to go with drupal for hatethegame.net
Basically it's a community ranting site. A place where people can go vent about the things that irritate them. Of course it has some rules, like no disciminating based on race, sex, or sexual preference. It's my attempt to make a fun and friendly site out of a negative idea.
Hello, I've launched Telework People, a Drupal 4.7 based site with articles about teleworking.
I created a simple PHPTemplate and I'm using the ecommerce module to sell a downloadable ebook (I'm using it with Authorize.net and Paypal).
I also did some template.php modifications to use different kinds of pages, one for articles, one for forums, one for the book page and another for the home page. Thanks to Jeff Robins that posted great suggestions for doing that.
