Creating a custom Barrio sub-theme

Barrio ships with a standard sub-theme starter kit located on the sub-theme folder. You can also create a SASS-based sub-theme as an alternative option: https://www.drupal.org/docs/8/themes/barrio/sass-sub-theme.

Flow2 is a sub-theme based on bootstrap and will look great when used with masonry grid layout.

This theme is inspired from http://flow.elated-themes.com/flow2/.

To get exact look of the Flow2 theme, you need to use Masonry related Drupal module and related Javascript plugins.

Appearance settings for Drupal ZURB Foundation subtheme

TL;DR

  • Log into Drupal admin
  • Go to Appearance and click Settings for your subtheme
  • Adjust the settings
    • Under LOGO IMAGE, untick Use the logo supplied by the theme to add your own logo
    • Under FAVICON, untick Use the favicon supplied by the theme to  add your own favicon
    • Expand FOUNDATION TOP BAR and enable/configure Top Bar for Foundation
    • Expand PAGE ELEMENTS and check if you want to display site name, logo and login/signup with hard-coded templates or via admin backend
