I've created a view for a biography view. So I created a file called "views-view--biography.tpl.php".
Cleared my cash using Drush, for testing purposes I've set some static text in my views file but it's not showing, so Drupal isn't taking my views file.
Is there something that I'm missing?
Is there any rule of thumb or can someone tell from past experience how long it will likely take until most of the mainstream modules have stable releases for the new Drupal?
I'm thrilled by Drupal 7 and I'd love to rebuild my current website on Drupal right now, but there are still some important (for me) modules that have no stable Drupal 7 release - like Captcha, Views, GeSHi, Superfish - and the theme selection is also very thin.
Can anyone still remember how long it took for Drupal 6?

I'm an experienced Web developer, but I'm new to Drupal. I'm getting there based on various tutorial and books. But no matter what theme or options I choose the rendered page title is always
<title>[site-name]|[site-slogan]</title>
I have non-blank values filled in on Administration | Configuration | Site Information | Site details. What's missing?
