I'd like to know: is it possible to add the standard commentary form to a new page (created with hook_menu()) by any way? So, I want my page, but with 'native' Drupal comments.
In my new role, I've inherited a bespoke web application running on Solaris and Oracle. It is basically a repository of articles that we have published over the past 7 years and allows registered users access to browse that repository.
I need to port this to an alternative platform as the equipment is ageing and there is no need to stick with Oracle. The ease of sticking is far outweighed by the cost of the licensing.
It appears to me that a CMS would be a perfectly sensible home for this site. From looking around and trying a few, my favourite is Drupal.
I built the Windward Guide so businesses and boaters can place location information on an annotated map. None of the location, address and mapping modules fit my needs so I went ahead and pulled code out of several different modules and made a mash up.
The work flow is managed using the Workbench Moderation module so anonymous users can submit a business listing which goes into a queue for admin approval. Any user with Workbench Moderation can edit any node which makes the map annotation content type and business listings like a Wiki.
Is there a simple way to control the Date/Time/User stamps that by default display with every new Article or Basic Page? I don't see anything in the Zero Point or Theme Global Settings.
I would prefer to turn these stamps OFF by default, and then enable for certain modules only.
Apologies in advance for my drupal ignorance and lack of understanding. I am new to Drupal and have had no previous experience of designing websites, or using content management frameworks.
I have spent time developing a drupal test site for my company's new website on my local machine. My boss would like to transfer it over to what will be the 'live' server. He has spent time trying to find this out, and thought there would be a simple way but there does not seem to be. Could somebody please advise??
