Experimental project

This is a sandbox project, which contains experimental code for developer use only.

Simply install the Pulse feedback widgets into your site. You can customise the look, feel and functionality of the widgets depending on the content and context of what you are asking feedback for.

Pulse allows you to ask any question you like and provide a positive and negative response for that question. For example, "Did you find this helpful? - Yes / No" or "What do you think of this video? - Great / Rubbish". We deliberately limit the response to a simple binary choice because we find this approach actually gives you a much better picture of how your content is performing, and let's face it, it just feels more natural to talk about things in this way. By being opinionated like this we end up with more useful insights.

As soon as the user responds with either the positive or negative option, this data is sent into Pulse and stored. This is really important as it means that we capture this data even if the user chooses to stop interacting with the feedback widget after this point.

The next (optional) step is that the Pulse widget will give the user the option to provide some qualitative feedback using a free-entry text box. We find that giving the user complete freedom to voice their opinion in this way not only improves engagement with the feedback widget, but also allows your user to tell you what they want to tell you, not what you think they want to tell you. Don't worry about being overloaded with qualitative feedback to analyse though, Pulse takes care of that and helps you to prioritise it all.

Finally, if you want to use something like SurveyMonkey or Google Forms we've also got you covered! The Pulse widget lets you link out to any third party survey provider or contact page, should you want to give your users those options as well.
