Experimental project

This is a sandbox project, which contains experimental code for developer use only.

Simple REST API offers Drupal 8 style REST API for reading, creating, updating and deleting nodes. You can make your systems to support Drupal 8 before actually updating Drupal.

Properties

  • supports HTTP basic authentication
  • uses HAL/JSON as the data format
  • respects node rights by use of node_access()
  • very minimalistic error handling

Differences to other REST modules

  • Due to simplicity code is easy to understand and offers start point for other use cases
  • Accepts same data than Drupal 8

Authentication and basic request handling is from Services module.
