Experimental project

This is a sandbox project, which contains experimental code for developer use only.

This module extends OM Maximenu module to provide block caching. It does this by rendering the blocks on behalf of OM Maximenu with a caching layer. It aims to be as transparent as possible, hopefully you won't even notice the module is enabled apart from the performance boost.

This module is useful for sites which utilise om_maximenu but can not use core block caching due to also utilising modules with node access rules.

Developer Notes

  • The cache validity uses the 'cache_lifetime' variable value.
  • Care has been taken to ensure that all modules and themes implementing om_maximenu alter hooks, preprocess functions and templates will continue to work with this module enabled.
