This module allows images to be captured from a user's attached webcam (or camera on a laptop or mobile browser) and uploaded to the server. It provides a field API widget for file and image fields which may be useful for site builders, as well as a form element for module developers.
This module requires a browser that supports getUserMedia to capture images. It was developed for capturing student photos at point of enrolment in a kiosk style environment and and may be useful for other registration and image capture tasks where the browser environment can be controlled.
The media webcam module may provide a similar flash based solution for older browsers.
If you are looking for a module to display images from a remote Internet webcam (rather than saving images from a client's camera) then the webcams and webcam field modules may be of interest.
