Experimental project
This is a sandbox project, which contains experimental code for developer use only.
Allows editors to bypass content moderation and make changes to published content regardless of ongoing draft revisions.
Many organisations use content moderation with separate edit and review processes. Changes are made as new draft revisions, reviewed by a moderator and then either published or returned for further edits. During the review process, if you need to make an urgent change to the published revision, your options are to either 1) publish the draft, or 2) delete the draft and make the small edit.
This module provides a "hotfix" option. Making a hotfix involves editing the currently published revision to produce a new published revision immediately. The existing draft revision remains as it was.
The use cases for a hotfix are small changes such as correcting a phone number/email/date/location, responding to a takedown request, or any other urgent change.
It is important to note that anything you change in a hotfix must also be changed in the draft revision. There is no "merging" of hotfixes with normal drafts (we do not implement git!)
Additional Requirements
Requires content moderation to be enabled, and a suitable workflow.
