Example of monthly calendar
Example of monthly calendar showing birthday and anniversary for logged in user
Configuration screen

Experimental project

This is a sandbox project, which contains experimental code for developer use only.

This Hebrew Calendar module is based on the widely used "Calendar" module which is commonly used to create monthly calendars. This module displays Hebrew dates, Jewish holidays, sunset times, havdalah times, weekly Torah reading/parasha, rosh hodesh, and related Jewish calendar information.

There is a configuration screen so that you have full control over which items you want displayed on your calendar. For most information, this module uses the HebCal APIs from http://hebcal.com to get the relevant data. The only data that is calculated directly by this module is the Hebrew date (ie displaying 28 Kislev 5777 for December 28 2016)

If the CiviCRM module is installed and the user is logged in, then they will see birthdays, yahrzeits, and wedding anniversaries as well. For additional open source modules and extensions that integrate with CiviCRM, check out CiviShul and CiviCRM.org
