INTRODUCTION

What is Trove?

Find and get over 471,470,579 Australian and online resources:
books, images, historic newspapers, maps, music, archives and more

Trove helps you find and use resources relating to Australia. It’s more than a search engine. Trove brings together content from libraries, museums, archives and other research organisations and gives you tools to explore and build.

What does this module do?

The trovequery module integrates Drupal views with the National Library of Australia's Trove API service as a datasource.

What does this mean?

Well, it means that as of early 2016, nearly 500 million online resources are available to be integrated into any Drupal site. The power of views is at your disposal to be used against this colossal store of Australia's cultural memory, for example:

  • Create an RSS feed of new comments made on content you may have contributed to Trove.
  • Reimagine a comprehensive, multi-zoned Trove search as a Drupal based site.
  • Drupal pages that automatically include related Trove digitised newspaper content based on keywords in the article.
  • Carousels of Trove picture content.
  • Search for books available at libraries nearby.
  • Infinite scrolling Trove image search, a la images.google.com.
  • and much more...
