Will be really nice having the ability to add the search field to the topbar, so is always sticky on top.

Great idea! I just added this and gave you a commit mention, you can enable the Search Form by visiting /admin/appearance/settings/zurb_foundation and expanding Foundation Top Bar -> Search Menu.
