I am new to Drupal 8, no theming experience in drupal 8 but able to manage basic coding.

I have installed Zircon and like it so far, but one clear problem for me is that it does not make any visual distinction between an unvisited link and regular text. In other words, the only way to find links is to mouseover text and see whether something is a link.

I want to change the standard link style so that links are obvious without a user having to mouseover text to see if it is a link, and I want to make this change so that if Zircon should be upgraded, I can apply the upgrade without the style change being over-written.

I assume this means creating a zircon subtheme. I can follow the themeing documentation on how to do this. Would you tell me please where and how to make the style change to alter the link style?

Thank you.
