Workflow on webforms

In the Drupal7 release, would it be possible to include workflow on a webform. We are using webforms for customers to report complaints, and we would like to note when the complaint has been assigned (and to whom), dealt with (and comments), and then the client signs off. If there is a better module than workflow to do this, please could you let me know. I am dreading rebuilding everything as a node!
