We are using Workbench 7.x-1.2 in combination with Field Collection 7.x-1.0-beta7 and Field Collection tabs 7.x-1.0 to allow us to create a tabbed page with links to more detailed content can be accessed from a central page.

When we add a new tab to the page, the tab and all of its related content is lost if the page is saved in any moderation state other than published. If the page is immediately published the tab is saved and be set back to an unpublished state. However, this defeats the purpose of having an approval workflow for such detailed pages.

What we have discovered is if the new tab for the page is created and saved into a draft or any other moderation state, the "row" for the tab is still in the page, but all of its field content is empty. Upon examining the database tables, no revision data for the "lost" tab is being recorded.

Several existing posts under the Field Collection project have had similar experiences and we have applied the module updates as well as several patches that have seemed related to the problem over the past two months, but the problem persists. When we disable Workbench, the problem is resolved.

We have a very large user base who will be adding many new tabbed pages in preparation for the new year so our need is becoming critical.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
