It would be great if there would be a validation option when "Autocomplete from existing taxonomy terms" is used.

Currently, terms are autocompleted but a user can also type something else which validates. The "Restrict to listed values" option does not work in combination with autocomplete from existing taxonomy terms.

I needed this recently, made a patch that should let you restrict on taxonomy terms too. It's restricting term name and it is case sensitive similar to the default 'options restrict'. Also, at the moment if you have a list of options as well as a taxonomy selected it will list both options in the autocomplete drop down.
