Even though the "Include file description metadata" is checked, no descriptions are displaying. I used the built in metadata editor to enter descriptions, I can see them in the editor, but not on the page.

I have the same problem.
I want people to download software distributions and hotfixes, and it's important to have descriptions to document the use case of each file, what problems it solves, etc.

I checked the Include file description metadata field in admin/settings/webfm/style (see attachement webfm3.png)
I added a Metadata file description to a file (see attachement webfm2.png)
I have no description showing (see attachement webfm1.png)
Below is the html corresponding to the line in the table:

<tr class="filerow" id="fid2216" title="/FTPdownloads/buttontest_3.png">
  <td>
     <img src="https://preprod-community.systar.fr/sites/all/modules/webfm/image/icon/i.gif" alt="File">
  </td>
  <td>
    <a href="#" title="2216">Test image</a>
  </td>
  <td class="txt">09/21/12 09:08</td>
  <td class="txt">3 KB</td><td class="txt">fvilaadmin</td>
</tr>

BTW is there a screenshot of a WebFM table with the metadata description showing? That could reassure my users about the possibility of delivering that functionality.
